In this walkthrough, I’ll show you how to integrate Leadformly with Hubspot.
First of all, we’ll go through how to add a Leadformly form onto a landing page built in Hubspot’s landing page editor. Then we’ll walk through how to send your leads from Leadformly into Hubspot’s CRM.
Embedding a Leadformly form in Hubspot
Step 1. Go to the landing page you want to edit
In Hubspot, navigate to the landing page you want to embed your Leadformly form on by clicking ‘Content’ in the menu, then ‘Landing pages’, and finally click ‘Edit’ on the landing page you want to add your form. Your
Step 2. Add a custom HTML module
Click the ‘+’ icon on the left-hand sidebar and scroll down until you can see an option to drag and drop a custom HTML module. Click this and drag it onto the landing page where you’d like your form to appear.
If you hover over this custom HTML module you should see a large ‘pen’ icon in the middle. Click this to edit the HTML module. The left-hand sidebar will expand, and you should see a large area where you can paste your Leadformly embed code.
Step 3. Copy and paste your Leadformly embed code into the custom HTML module
In a separate tab, go to your Leadformly account and copy the embed code of the form you’ve built by selecting the code and pressing CTRL+C (or Command+C on Mac).
Paste this code in the Hubspot custom HTML box by pressing CTRL+V (Command+V on Mac). You should now see your Leadformly form appear in the Hubspot preview window.
If you want to change the location of your Leadformly form on the page, or make it ‘smart’ (e.g. display different forms to different users), you can do this by hovering over the custom HTML block and clicking the relevant icons.
The first thing you’ll need to do is choose Leadformly as a trigger from the list of available apps. Leadformly is currently an invite-only app, so you’ll need to accept an invitation here before Leadformly appears in your list of apps.
Follow the instructions to connect your Leadformly account. If you get stuck, we have an in-depth walkthrough on connecting Leadformly to Zapier here .
For the ‘action’, select Hubspot (you will need your Hub ID for this – you can find it in the top-right hand corner in your Hubspot account). Choose ‘New Form Submission’ from the list of actions.
This will mean that when someone submits your Leadformly form it will update that contact as having submitted a form with Hubspot. This means that everything in Hubspot will still work as if you were using a Hubspot form.
Step 2. Map the fields from your Leadformly form to a Hubspot form
The next step is to ‘map’ the fields from your Leadformly form to an existing Hubspot form so that when someone submits your Leadformly form the lead data is saved in the correct fields in Hubspot.
To make things easy for you to track, I would recommend creating a new form in Hubspot called ‘Leadformly form’. Your visitors will never see this form, but it will be used so that any leads that come through your Leadformly form will say so in Hubspot.
Step 3. Test your zap, and you’re done!
On the next step, click test. This will now send a lead into Hubspot, which you should be able to see instantly in your Hubspot account.
I can now go to my Hubspot list of contacts, and see that a new contact was added. Now, every time someone submits your Leadformly form they’ll be added as a contact in your Hubspot CRM.
Note: Don’t worry if you don’t see anything appear straight away! It can take up to 15 minutes for Zapier to send leads to Hubspot.
If I click on a contact, you can see that the name and email address have been successfully mapped from the Leadformly form to this contact. We can also see under this contacts activity that they have ‘submitted Leadformly form’.
And that’s it! If you have any other questions about connecting Leadformly and Hubspot, feel free to get in touch with us and we’d be more than happy to help.
