Testing a form is a quick and easy process. You have to make sure your form has been successfully embedded on your site before letting any of your site visitors use it. There can be many outside influences affecting the form (location of the form, plugins used on the page where the form’s embedded, etc). That’s why testing is so important.

Here are few basic steps for testing your form right after the embedding:

  1. Have a go at using your own form. It’s a great way to go through this process from the perspective of your form users. Go through all of the steps of the form and submit it. Watch out for anything that stands out or shouldn’t be there.
  2. Go back to Leadformly and select Leads tab to review Leads page. Check if a test lead has been received.
  3. Go to your email and check if Lead Notification email has been received.
  4. If you’ve set up your ‘thank you’ email (‘When a new lead arrives…’), please check that particular email address for the presence of that email.
  5. If you’ve set up your Zapier or native integration (Active Campaign, Aweber, MailChimp), please check if the test lead came through to your email software database, spreadsheet, or CRM.
  6. If you’ve noticed any inconsistencies in your form design or text, go back to Leadformly customiser and make the appropriate changes.
  7. If you’ve used a simple embed code in the first version of the form - there’s no need to re-embed the form. Simply refresh the page to see the latest changes.
  8. If you’ve used a long (raw) embed code, please copy a new embed code and re-embed the form on your site. Refresh the page to see the latest changes.
  9. Test the form once again. :)

You have to follow the same steps if you’ve embedded your form in a number of locations (multiple forms on the same page or various pages).
